Winter Wonders: National Motor Museum, Beaulieu

We have had our fair share of snow and wet weather these past few months and with winter not yet over it’s time to seek out some fun…under one roof!

Hampshire is truly blessed when it comes to attractions and the National Motor Museum in the charming village of Beaulieu is no exception. In the heart of the New Forest you will see cars from F1 to the famous ones of Top Gear, there will something for all petrol heads and a great day out for all the family.

However if you are a James Bond fan then you will love the latest edition to the museum: Bond In Motion. With the Bond franchise recently celebrating it’s 50th year you will get the chance to see some of the most beautiful cars from the movies.

Cars used in films starring Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig all feature in the exhibition.

New to the exhibition are three vehicles straight from the set of the 23rd James Bond film, Skyfall.  You can see the two Honda CRF250R motorbikes, including the one ridden by Daniel Craig, and the Land Rover Defender 110 that feature in the exciting opening sequence of the film.

The exhibition has been extended until January 2014 and of course is just a small part of the museum so make the most of a day out. Situated just over 12 miles from our nearest apartment in Southampton you will be in 00-heaven within minutes!
