29 June – 28 July / The Wool House, Town Quay Road

For the next month, Element Arts will open up the Wool House in Southampton (built in the 14th century) to the public. Come and enjoy a variety of exhibitions and activities including yoga and Tango workshops, come of which will explore this incredible building’s history. Click here for more information.

Southampton Thai Festival

6 and 7 July / Mayflower Park / 11am – 6pm / FREE

A taste of Thailand is coming to Southampton! Organised by the Southampton Thai Festival Group, this fabulous celebration of Thai life will feature a scrumptious choice of food, Thai music and dancing in Mayflower Park. Everyone is welcome to come along. Click here for more information.

Go!Rhinos Trail

13 July – 22 September / City centre and Central Parks, Southampton / FREE

Marwell Wildlife is bringing Go! Rhinos, a world-class public art event to the streets and parks of Southampton this summer. Over 100 decorated rhino sculptures will inhabit the city centre, providing a spectacular walking trail for residents and visitors to enjoy. Click here for more information.

Southampton Mela Festival

13 July / Hoglands Park / 12noon – 9pm / FREE

Attracting over 20,000 people in recent years, this free festival will feature an assortment of musical styles, exhilarating dance acts and fun activities for the whole family, plus an array of vivid exhibitions and stalls. Click here for more information.

Race For Life

14 July / Southampton Common / 9am (10K) and 11.30am (5K) start

Ladies, it’s time to take the fight against cancer to Southampton Common for the Race For Life! Take part by running, walking or dancing along the 5K or 10K route – or get involved by sponsoring someone you know, or cheering the runners on during the race. Click here for more information.

Clock Tower tours

13 and 14 July / Meet at SeaCity Museum reception / 10 – 11am and 11am – 12noon / £6

Ascend the magnificent Clock Tower and view Southampton from a whole new perspective (from a height of 156 ft). Participants must be physically fit and children must be over 12 years old. Click here for more information.

Sky Ride Southampton

28 July / City centre / 11am – 3pm / FREE

This mass cycling event for the whole family will take place on traffic-free streets throughout the city centre. All are welcome to join thousands of other cyclists on a unique exploration of the city. Click here for more information.
