Getting About The City

With our thoughts turning to saving money, the environment and getting value for money the transport sector has a lot to offer, especially in Southampton. If you are staying with us for a short time here are a few suggestions which may just be right up your street.

City Car Club, Southampton

The CCC has been around the city for many years and offers a great alternative to temporary travel without paying huge hire prices. With dedicated parking bays you simply drop off your car to your destination (proving it is in a car club space) and continue on your way. Vehicles are located in designated parking bays across the city and can be reserved by the hour, day or as long as you want.

There are a range of vehicles to peruse, from small city cars, estate cars to 7 seaters and even vans. Simply reserve online, by phone or using the iPhone app then head to the reserved vehicle, unlock it using your membership card or app and drive away. We have one bay near our apartments in South Western house and Ocean Village.

Cycle Hire

For those who wish to go green and burn off a few calories this is the best option for you. Cycling around the historic city dwelling of Southampton really is the best way to see things. Hire short or long term and beat the traffic with suggested routes around the city and New Forest. Groups and families are welcome.
