When you stay with us it is not just all about the home from home experience. We go the extra mile to make sure your stay is second to none! With many hotels housing very expensive restaurants the Town or Country Discount Card comes in handy. Here is another dining experience to enjoy.

Regulars to Southampton will know that we have some of the best eateries on the south coast. Few come more tasteful than the Kuti’s Gatehouse Grill, Royal Thai pier. The original pier was opened on July 8th 1833 by the Duchess of Kent and Princess (later Queen) Victoria. It had cost £25,000 and was designed by Edward L.Stephens. Since then the original structure has been and gone with its new home partially housing the car park to Red Funnel ferries.

A new gatehouse was built in 1937 but there was bomb damage to the ornate cast iron work during World War II. The pavilion re-opened in 1947 (extended in 1963). A new vehicle bridge to the pontoon was built in 1950.

Now it has a new role in defining a unique range of delicious cuisine. Kuti’s has always been the first choice for Asian fusion in Southampton with it’s infamous Sunday buffet. Adding to the family is the Gatehouse Grill, a must for food lovers! Situated on the top floor with a view over the docks it is not just the view to die for but the menu. Children are well catered for along with the charm of the staff. From grilled steaks to fine wine, great live entertainment for December the Gatehouse Grill is the perfect place for a night out. And with the festive season almost upon us party bookings are in big demand!
