One Big Night Out!

There are chLupus nightarity events and there are charity events. Town Or Country are proud to present the Spring Charity Dinner on Thursday 9th of April 2015 raising money and awareness of Lupus UK.

It is particularly close to our hearts as our sales and marketing manager, Charlotte, suffers from this often painful condition. Charlotte was diagnosed in 2013 just before the birth of her second child in Malta. Treatment and rest bite was not available which then resulted in uprooting her family life and returning back to the UK. But what is lupus?

There are some types of lupus that just affect the skin – such as discoid lupus erythematosus and subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus. Some medications can also cause lupus-like side effects.

However, the term “lupus” is most often used to describe a more severe form of the condition called systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), which can affect many parts of the body, including the skin, joints and internal organs.

Symptoms range from mild to severe, and many people will have long periods with few or no symptoms before experiencing a sudden flare-up, where their symptoms are particularly severe.

Even mild cases can be distressing and have a considerable impact on a person’s quality of life.

And now we aim to kick it into touch with our Spring Dinner. Taking place at Kuti’s Royal Thai Pier, Southampton there will be fantastic live entertainment as well as lots of amazing prizes to be won all donated from the kind hearts of local and national businesses. Just £50 secures you a delicious 3-course meal, a sparkling reception and a night you will not forget.

Tickets have already sold fast, you will need to book fast! For more info contact or click here to contact our office.

See you there!
